About

Liska + Associates meets client and audience goals and objectives through the breadth of our strategic design/branding experience in a number of related industries. The focus of our work is the experience for users interacting with a variety of mediums from web to print to packaging to signage.

We help you develop your brand strategy by understanding your goals, opportunities, and challenges, typically through the eyes of your target audiences.

We distill large amounts of complex information to create a clear and consistent message.

Project management is fundamental to the way we work. We direct and manage all aspects of the design process, coordinating with coders, photographers, and a variety of trusted vendors and resources to ensure all components run smoothly and finish on time and on budget.

We are proactive, service-oriented and accessible, and we collaborate with our clients—which almost always results in long-term working relationships.

One of our first major clients was the Midwest Stock Exchange. Working with their team on annual reports led us to developing annual reports for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and CBOE, as well as a number of private investment firms.

From finance to architecture, real estate, healthcare, hospitality, and the arts, over the years Liska’s portfolio—and knowledge base—has grown to focus on large-scale branding for a wide range of organizations:

Cult beauty brand Kiehl’s global expansion required compliance with international standards. Liska created training materials, packaging direction and a labeling system for more than 500 products to create consistency and protect their brand worldwide.

Northwestern Medicine began as 15 separate medical and educational entities, which we succeeded in simplifying so that greater recognition and awareness could be achieved under one, encompassing brand. Today, Northwestern Medicine employs over 30,000 and is continually ranked as one of the nation’s top healthcare providers.

Currently, we continue to work with an international financial technology company, Global Payments, and its many associated brands, as well as The Pritzker Architecture Prize, The University of Chicago, the Department of State, Marshfield Funds, University of Vermont Health Network, AltusWorks, RATIO Architects, The Chicago Community Trust, PEAK Grantmaking, UrbanWorks, Brininstool + Lynch and Almost Home Kids. Other clients include: Hines, Sam Zell, Baccarat, Equity Commonweath, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Goettsch Partners, Gary Lee, Domu, American Dental Association, The Goodman Theatre, The Art Institute of Chicago, Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Metropolitan Planning Council, Erikson Institute, Georgia Center for Nonprofits and Make a Better Place.
