Chicago Bauhaus

After the German Bauhaus closed, instructor Laszlo Moholy-Nagy moved to Chicago and opened the New Bauhaus school, which was based on the ideology of its predecessor and had critical influence on modern design in Chicago. The school was housed at 610 N. Fairbanks from 1939 to 1949.
